Loud Girl and sleepy boy

Life would be perfect if I could write like this…

Sleepy Boy liked small spaces to take naps in but everywhere he went Loud Girl followed. She’d drop dishes and slam doors. Pop balloons and knock trashcans over. She wasn’t mean, just happy to make noise. Sleepy Boy tried nesting in trees and being buried underground but nothing worked. Loud Girl hung around making a ruckus. Then one day Sleepy Boy dove into the ocean with Loud Girl trailing. They sunk to the very bottom where it was dark and quiet. Very quiet. Everything seemed well and Sleepy Boy looked forward to a good night’s rest but then Loud Girl made friends with the whales and spurred them to sing. Whale songs came in from all directions, from miles away. Sleepy Boy had no reason to fight with Loud Girl because he knew she loved making noise as much as he loved sleeping. So he decided to crawl into one of the whale’s mouth and find rest deep inside the center of its belly. From then on Loud Girl and Sleepy Boy traveled the oceans with a pod of singing whales while he slept and she screamed as loud as she could.

What a gorgeous story! I think I feel like Sleepy Girl and my husband like Loud Boy when he runs around the apartment in the morning banging doors, while I try to bury my head under pillows... haha.

The story has such a charming ending though... and thank you for the lovely pics to go with it. The last one is eerily beautiful...
