He certainly is a fantastic Fox

Set to be released this November!

Very excited about the new and long-awaited animation project by director Wes Anderson, 'Fantastic Mr. Fox'. The film is based on Roald Dahl’s (1970) children's book by the same title, and uses classic handmade stop-motion techniques to tell the story of a certain Mr. Fox who must outwit three nasty farm owners in order to save his wife, children and ultimately the whole woodland community.

'It was the first book I ever owned... My brothers and I loved Mr. Fox and all the digging. We were obsessed with underground forts and tunnels.' -Wes Anderson, interview with USA Today

Cast is said to include, but not limited to: (my boyfriend) Bill Murray (as Badger), Meryl Streep (Mrs. Fox), George Clooney (Mr. Fox), Owen Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Jason Schwartzman, Anjelica Huston and Jarvis Cocker (who has also composed three or four songs and 'bits' of the score for the soundtrack).

Film uses 30 sets based on Roald Dahl's own home and village:

Screenplay was written by both Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach (pictured below) of 'the Squid and the Whale'. The two also co-wrote 'The Life Aquatic', possibly my most favorite of all of his films. And though based on a children's book and an animation project it's said to be not just for children. The plot has been expanded and changed a bit 'to include many elements found in Anderson's other films, including a dysfunctional clan and a male rivalry'.

Are you feeling as excited about this as I am now? If so, be sure to watch the film trailer (below) that was just recently made public and the true inspiration for this post:

Also be sure to visit the wonderfully obsessed Rushmore Academy for the latest on all things Wes Anderson.

Aahh, Fantastic Mr Fox!! I remember sitting on the carpet and listening to our teacher read that book when I was in school in the UK. Ah, memories. Roald Dahl is probably my favourite children's book author.

It looks amazing. The trailer has a lot of dry humour to it, which surprised me a little, but is not a bad thing. Thanks for sharing!

That looks good...I love stop-motion movies! The stills are really stunning.

I don't know if its a pencil skirt...I guess so. I usually don't look right in them, but have recently found a few skirts like the gray one that fit better in the hips and thighs. Good old thrift stores:) Anyway, thanks for the comment!
