Generally I try not to complain about the weather, but I have to confess I really missed summer. Missed warm days, cool nights, BBQ's and wearing shoes where I can see my toes... also, that sense of optimistic fun that seems to come with the season. And in keeping is the work of Jena Ardell who magically captures endless and timeless summers in her work. Her Polaroids make me crave a hot dog and a swim.

Wow! She's really good! She really captures the feeling of summertime. I especially love the bumblebee and the pretty pink dandelion. I love summer too but I've got to say nothing beats Sydney on a cool, crisp, blue skied day! :0)

UM, summer can shove it! it is so damn hot and so damn humid lately and i am so damn cranky because of it!
but! there is a silver lining here, as i LOVE these photos! i'll take summer in photo format any day! especially these! i just love them!
OMG to ditch my classical studies for a hotdog and swim *swirls into really indulgent reverie* haha! these pictures are so great, heightens everyones sense of longing in the southern hemisphere. thanks for sharing gabbi:)

San Francisco doesn't really have a summer..only a few nice days in between foggy/rainy days. Jena's photos make me remember all the joys of summer that I am missing out on. As always wonderful artist to showcase, thanks for the intro:) Hope you have a lovely weekend!
I know what you mean Gabbi. Our winter was so.very.long. this year. Its so nice to have warm weather and sunshine and to smell barbecues goes on when we walk through our neighborhood at night.
Thanks for the comment! I think you should go for it if you want to change your hair drastically. I'm going to take a lot of guff when I go to work tomorrow (everyone was really disappointed that I cut it shorter a few months ago), but its what I wanted to do and I love it. I think you can pull it off, its just a matter of finding the right stylist.
