Fans of Bryce Dallas Howard and photographer Alex Prager, have you seen Despair yet? Found today when I followed a great link left by Brandi of This B Life. According to Prager, Despair was conceived as a living, full-sensory version of her photographic work. Thank you again to the awesome Brandi for the link! ♥

Hi Gabbi,
I shouldn't look at your blog in the morning before work as you always have something I want to watch and I have to rush off. I will be back later though to see this as it looks good! I love those colours in the stills.

My internet is so so SLOW so it could only manage two minutes into the movie, damn it! I'll have to watch when my broadband isn't being throttled. I want more. The lighting is pitch perfect. You can really tell it's a photographers' film.
Great Blog following you =DD

I didn't recognize Bryce at first! I love her-even in 'Lady in the Water'. I'm gonna be kind of "touchy" for a sec and say that her falling like that made me think of the people who jumped from the towers on 9/11. My dad was in Vietnam, and he says that when he would jump from planes with his parachute, there was a moment that felt like he could choose to not die down there with the bullets, or anything terrible-he could choose to die in the most beautiful way-dancing through the air. The impact would be immediate, so there'd be no pain.
When we were watching tv on 9/11 he told me that in response to others being upset that these people were choosing to jump. Tumbling down-holding hands-dancers in the sky. My mom has always freaked me out about the whole suicide/not going to heaven thing, but my dad says when you're physically in a situation like that, you do not have the same feelings or worries that you do sitting at home. You have other worries, but not what you'd expect.
Amazing!! Stunning!! Love the colours. xx
nice post. thanks.
