Sunday shadows, cakes by friends,
flowers on the windowsill and a song...

Sunday, November 29, 2009

This weeks submissions to the Shadow Gallery, a brilliant project run by the lovely and talented Tracy of Hey Harriet, is a slice of red velvet. It was the prettiest thing I ate for my birthday.

Also, below is a little violet plant bought at the 99cent store a few months ago. Isn't she beautiful? Sort of shocked that she not only managed to survive but also found a way to bloom in November.

Lastly, have you heard the new Beck and
Charlotte Gainsbourg song? I'm so addicted...

Thank you so much Tracy...
and best wishes for a wonderful new week!

You bought that plant in the 99cents store... amazing how it bloomed when you least expected it.

I'm craving for some sweets now that I saw that first image.

Have a great Sunday!

Está bien la canción. ¿Has escuchado el álbum de Beck versionando entero el disco de The Velvet Underground & Nico? Muy curioso...

Another feast for the eyes, ears and heart!! (But unfortunately not for my stomach! :( that cake looks like a proper party cake - I feel happy just looking at it!!) I love your violet - their velvety leaves - gorgeous colour - and wow! Have not been aware of the Beck and Charlotte G tune!! I'm a Beck fan (Odelay!) so I'm really looking forward to listening to this when I get home (am at work at the mo). Always such a treat to visit your beautiful blog sweet Gabbi!! XXXXX's
