George & My First Giveaway!

Do you see the resemblance? It’s as if Sam knew my gorgeous George…♥
This is my newest Matou en Peluche print, it arrived last week and George won’t stop staring at it (such vanity). We don’t own canaries but George grew up with birds (parakeets and now doves) and a better part of his life has been spent lying on windows near cages looking on with bored frustration. Sam didn't create this for me, but it really does fit him perfectly.
So, do you remember how last week I told you I was going thrift shopping? This awesome print was part of why I went shopping. It was a hunt for a frame that would properly showcase my newest art piece. But then a little after my vintage post planning began I had some small detours, first I got sick… that really took the wind out of my blogging and then I found out that I had won some great giveaways (of which I plan to write about in the very near future) and that sort of put it in my head that it was time I paid it forward and had a giveaway also. But before I reveal the giveaway I thought I’d share with you a little on the background of the prizes…
From my thrift shopping expedition:
These mermaids are NOT the prize, sorry. I stumbled on them while looking for a co-prize and frame, I really wanted but couldn’t bring myself to buy them. They’re sold only as a set for $400. The set includes the giant shell and the three mermaids. I really only wanted the mermaids.
These are from my bedroom wall where I have several Matou en Peluche prints hanging... I'm a big fan as you might've guessed.
Lastly…
The first part of the giveaway consists of Arabella, an original drawing in pen and ink that has been scanned and digitally coloured. She is approximately 10.5cm X 14.5cm and is printed on satin finish extra thick card stock. She comes with an attractive pale blue envelope and will be placed in a protective clear sleeve and is an original Matou en Peluche creation.
The second part is this small ceramic rabbit that I scoured many many antique shops to find and complement the mysterious Arabella card with. Possibly from the 1940’s or 50’s, the shop dealer wasn’t quite certain since she doesn’t have any markings? I thought she had the best little face....
To Enter: just leave a comment on this post during the next 7 days and you will be automatically entered in the drawing. The winner will be chosen at random on Tuesday the 9th of June at 10am PDT and will be revealed later that day.
Good luck and please be sure to visit Sam today... tell her she's amazing!♥

Aw, what a cute bunny!
Now this is a lovely giveaway!
It's so interesting what you'll find at thrift shops, I always dream up a little story to accompany the item - who owned it, where they kept it and for how long :)

Oooh! Gabbi! Where do I start? First of all, George! He is my ultimate pin up boy! Such a looker! Second, thank you so much for showing off my work - to be given the thumbs up by someone so attuned to all things stylish and classy is an absolute honour. Really and truly. Thirdly, how on earth did you resist those mermaids! They are just superb - so historic too - I love that - real collectors pieces. the print is so gorgeous, cute cat too! :)
Oh! How gorgeous! Your first giveaway is so gorgeous and I would love to enter.
I've always thought mermaids were some of the most glamorous creatures in the world. I think more the Sirens from the Odyssey rather than Arielle in Disney though.
And your wall of frames reminds me of Amelie's house in Paris! Will you be doing a sneak peek around your house? I bet it's gorgeous.
