(Gina Lollobrigida Knits)

I don’t knit; I crochet and can make a scarf if I have to (like if George’s life depended on it). But I don’t really have the patience for it as a pastime. I have a hard time keeping track of what I’m making and things tend to come out a little lopsided. But my sister Anna, as many of you might already know is a knitter supreme. Especially when she’s stressed out, you should have seen the poncho she made in the months leading up to her wedding! It could have easily been used as a blanket. But well this post isn’t about us. It’s really about the cold weather we’ve been having here lately and all these pretty knits and crochets that have never looked more appealing to me than now…

Silvia66, crocheted lariat necklace and cowl:

Sashetta, crocheted ring:

Irregular Expressions, freeform crochet scarflette:

Huismus, neckwarmer (all ages):

Do you remember the scene when Holly Golightly is knitting a humongous red dress for herself in ‘Breakfast at Tiffanys’? How about that awesome blue night mask she’s wearing the first time she opens the door for Fred? Well, I can’t pretend to be able to make it, but for those of you who are actually good at crocheting, you can buy this pretty pattern at mmm-fruit:

I've never been patient enough to crotchet but I do love how pretty it looks. Love the necklaces and funky scarf.

You should try and crochet! I'm an addicted knitter and it is my stress-remedy :) And such beautiful things come out of my needles!!

Lovely set of crocheted items there Gabbi! I love the neck warmer (all ages) the best! I've never crocheted either but I'm a mad knitter! Trouble is I only like to knit scarves! I think I have well over 15 in my wardrobe that get trotted out every Winter!

By the way - your interview drew a huge crowd! I've never had so many people looking at my blog! You're a cult icon!

~ Isn't that a great photo dear Sauvageblue? The look of intense concentration over her needles on such a glam girl :) Thank you for your comment, I love your blog. Your new puppy is seriously adorable.

Oh these are so pretty! Now I want to go shopping and get myself some lovely colorful scarf!
I used to love knitting when I was in middle school, I was ambitious and had a long list of things I wanted to make in future, never completeted lol Now I rarely have time to do knitting it's a shame (though I wouldn't say I'm really good at knitting, I really enjoy doing it) Wish there were 48hrs in a day lol

~ I know exactly what you mean dear Michiko! :) Wish I knew how to knit. Two needles look like more fun than the crocheting one for some reason?
