You’ll probably think I’m a big crybaby, but I wasn’t made for the gloomy California weather we’ve been having lately. I spent the better part of my weekend trying to keep warm at home (hiding from the rain), watching favorite films and experimenting with jewelry.
The highlight of the dvds I watched was Pedro Almodóvar's ‘Volver’ (2006). Such a good film. If you’ve never seen it I highly recommend you do. It’s filled with strong endearing female characters. Penélope Cruz does a brilliant job as the hero of the story, I love how feisty and feminine her role is. Also love the big hair and her lip-syncing to the Estrella Morente cover of Carlos Gardel's 1935 classic ‘Volver’.

Oh, I adore Almodovar. I have yet to see Volver but I'm sure I'll love it--as I do all of his movies.

I really liked volver too. I went to see it at the cinema and there was 15 people there and 6 of them left!! Some people just don't get it!wierd..

Your necklace, and your new jewelry too, are so beautiful and delicate! I love them!
Anyway, I saw Volver, and I liked it very much, even if the beginning of the movie filled me with anguish, and I didn't want to see the rest! But then I loved it!

~Thank you dearest Mary! I love your jewelry so it means a lot to hear you like my experiments. 'Volver' is sad and intense in the beginning isn't it. Almodóvar's films always shock me so I think I was prepared for the worst when I first saw it... :)
i don't think that you are a crybaby but i bet you would not like the grey and wet days we have been having here in holland. i have not yet seen 'volver'- now i will have to:)
