Old photos, new dolls,
and songs about being on fire...

Saturday, August 7, 2010

Sorry for being sort of gone this week, allergies decided to stage a comeback and the medications leave me dizzy and a little like a zombie. Hoping it'll go away soon, really does suck. But on a happier note, wanted to share a little on few things generally not connected...

First, there's a giveaway by Adeline of Lady Croissant now through the 15th of August. Giveaway is of a Baby Blue doll and Polaroid camera. Ada (Baby Blue's globetrotting sis) as you might remember came by to visit me a few weeks ago and aside from being a pleasure to take around the city, she was also quite a unique doll. Would love to have one to keep! The giveaway is simple, Adeline asks only for a comment... and if you'd like to up your chances you can blog, tweet or create a talking tree to do so. Be sure to *CLICK HERE* for more info.

Also sharing a few old family photos, all taken by my dad who now that I think of it is probably where I get my love of photographing stuff from. The first photo is of my mom in Ensenada, the second (the photo I use as my blog header) is of my sister Anna running with a little boy who we aren't too sure about anymore, possibly a neighbor maybe? And the third is of one of my dad's cars. He was a car guy. The car was green and my mom swears it was a Pontiac, but I'm not much of a car person myself so I don't know if it is.

Lastly, 'Someday Soon' by Harlem.
A fun song to soundtrack the weekend with!

Hope you're having a lovely Saturday!

Thanks so much for sharing the story behind your blog header! I adore your header and thought maybe the little girl was you. You chasing after a little boy you fancied. So it's your sister? That's so sweet! I hope you feel better soon Gabbi. Feeling zombie-like is no fun at all. Unless of course one happens to be a zombie. Then it would be second nature to them...

Have a great week ahead Gabbi!

Thank you for the get-well wishes guys! I always feel a little like a crybaby when I whine on here about being sick, but the get-well wishes are always a nice comfort to read... ♡ Tracey! Yeah, Anna, my sis is the header girl! I'll be sure to pass on to her all the nice comments on her photo... and Mary-Laure, your family photos are always a fave of mine. Definitely an inspiration to share also... wishes for a great new week everyone! *besos*
