New York, I Love You

Saturday, September 5, 2009

From the (above titled) film set to be released in October.

A collective work of eleven short films (each by a different director) with each segment running about 10 minutes long. Each shooting their part in one of New York's five boroughs. The shorts presented together will not relate but will all tie into the common theme of finding love.

Can't wait to see it, I have the most romantic notions when it comes to New York (all due to some lovely starry-eyed moments spent there on holiday).

Please share! If you had to guess which city would have a 'collaborative love' film next which would you choose? Not counting Paris and Tokyo, both which already had similar films recently made.

I’d say Los Angeles, but I’m clearly biased.

~ Thank you Crystal, glad I'm not the only one who loves and gets enthusiastic over films!♥ Hope you're having a lovely weekend too.

~ That's such an excellent choice Iva! SF hadn't even occurred to me (and I was just there this summer!). Hope you're having a splendid weekend.♥♥

Gabbi, actually we're just about ready to watch the movie. We're going to watch Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist.
Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to reading more posts of yours, as always.

I'm looking forward to this too. I love how postmodern it is - different writers, different directors - all thrown into one (hopefully) gorgeous, chaotic and cohesive film. It's by the same producers as Je T'aime Paris, right?

I can't wait to see those! I love NY too! I went once and was SUCH a tourist-I took a pic practically ever 5 steps! I should have just attached a video camera on my head! :)
ANd- I think Vegas would be interesting! It must be strange to love or date in a city so driven by lust.

I've been on a mad buzz to visit New York for years - so this looks right up my street.

Other cities? I'd have to go for London but Edinburgh is gorgeous too

Oh and lookalikes here's the Piley and I lookalikes

And here's the real thing recording the last Podrophenia at Piley's place. (I'm in the Fred Perry)

Oh this looks wonderful. I love movies like this and can't wait to check it out. I think I'd say Chicago. There's so much to do there, two people could stay up all night walking around, drinking coffee, etc...and falling in love.

I'll choose Bruges, in Belgium, I haven't visited it yet but I'll be there some days next October and I really think that is an awesome place. I can't wait to see it, it must be such a romantic city! =)
Have a great Sunday, dear Gabbi =)

Beautiful pictures as usual. I'm definitely going to check the film out now that you've mentioned it.

It reminds me of Paris, Je T'aime?

Oh, I hadn't heard of this one before. Looks really good! I love these kind of movies that are a collection of sweet short films. Maybe because I'm easily distracted, so the frequent changes in stories is good for me!

I'd love to see an English love film, but I guess Love Actually already did that.

Thank you so much for posting this. I am so excited! I have Paris J'taime, which I love. and I can't wait for this one...

I think Moscow would be a great place to make a similar film. It is a romantic city , as well as different.

This movie looks so cool. I know India has been done, so I can't say that, but what about Monterey, Mexico? The sands are white as snow and the downtown part looks so clean and modern!

miriam said...

hihi, i wonder why you're biased! but i wouldn't mind a movie on LA, or perhaps even San Francisco?

miriam said...
