Sometimes I go to stores where they have new furniture and it all seems so boring to me. It all looks alike, and when I find a cute knickknack or photograph (which I always think are harder to come by... photographs and magazines I rarely find) I feel like I just discovered a treasure. I walk around the store guarding it like Frodo and his ring :)

Your photos from Germany are awesome. My favorite is the woman bowling and the small one of the woman sitting with a string tied to her wrist. I'm adding horsethink to my favorite places list!

Thank you for sharing Billie! :)Gabbihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05403676085826159835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440672915701503982.post-1146572552295200132008-12-04T01:18:00.000-08:002008-12-04T01:18:00.000-08:00thrift-shopping isn't a pastime, it's a lifestyle!...thrift-shopping isn't a pastime, it's a lifestyle!
wherever i travel i try and find places where to get vintage stuff;i always end up buying something... it's a disease!
last month i crossed the border and spent one day in germany, of course i had to buy a couple of old pictures from a second hand store; i sent you one already, you can see the others here:(bottom of the page)
http://horsesthink.com/billiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12884198364744220001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2440672915701503982.post-31508648424767180912008-12-03T22:54:00.000-08:002008-12-03T22:54:00.000-08:00~Your fair in Lille sounds great dear Chloé, they ...~Your fair in Lille sounds great dear Chloé, they have a big flea market once a month at the Pasadena Rosebowl that I'm always too lazy to go to, but now you've inspired me to search for little deers. I especially love the kitty and the old photograph.
It's so great that you can find so many lovely vintage things so easily there, and people understand the value in these stuff. In Japan everyone is obsessed with keeping everything brand new or cutting edge, even with stuff like cars and houses, and don't appreciate second hand or vintage things, it's hard to even find thrift shops in Japan :(lune_blanchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15316109253205716460noreply@blogger.com
