Shadows of the Week

Thank you to the talented Tracey
and her wonderful Shadow Gallery project!

Submissions: (1) George snooping out the window at our neighbors cat, his biggest obsession next to the mail carrier (2) Rather be Tap Dancing license was spotted on the way to work Monday morning. Laughed when I read it and yelled to my sis, ME TOO! Don't know how to tap dance, but had a tiny yet spectacular Busby Berkeley daydream because of it (3) Kewpie from one of my favorite shops in Little Tokyo. HUGE and had the cutest face, not sure if she was on sale? (4) Share on the necklace I was lucky enough to win through Rita's Valium & Cherry Wine. This is the pretty way it arrived and to see the mustache necklace of mine in action be sure to stop by Adeline's ('case you haven't already) (5) Sundae at the Grove. Love walking around with something small, cold and sweet in hand on a warm summer night (6) Lanterns from my sister's backyard. They were our $2 find (7) Summer Crossing by Truman Capote. Given to me by my friend Thomas. Beautiful cover and good (though short) read.

Hope you're having a great Sunday!

All great-especially love George doing his snooping! My cat Cassie loves to look out of the blinds at the front of the flat but does not get bodily through them!

Thank you girls! ♥ You should've seen him try to get out Sarah... he's such a dork :^)

I see Benjy and George share an obsession, namely spying on the neighbors and especially the mailman! Maybe they could swap some stories?

Love the Japanese doll - at what store in Little Tokyo did you find it?

George is tooooooo cute! Love that photo! I'd also rather be tapdancing (like you, I also don't know how to) many times throughout the day.

Your shadows for the week are a delight and a feast for the eyes Gabbi! Go George! What a cutie! And I don't think a Busby Berkeley daydream could be anything but spectacular! :D

So, so much to like here! Of course the photo of George just makes me go bananas because he's such a character and he's so wonderful! :0)

All the others are superb and a wonderful glimpse into your world - love especially the Truman Capote cover! I got a set of his short stories a while back (not such a cute cover) and they were gems! He sure knew how to write, didn't he?

Have a lovely week Gabbi!

You've got a beautiful blog.

George is sweet. My Sputnik's biggest obsession is with her reflection.

Fun shadows for this meme. Kewpie is definitely a Japanese Icon.

I love how George managed to look out the window through the blinds! :) Lovely pictures, as always!

-Diana, seguro que si! Gracias!

-Rita, thank you again! I do LOVE my necklace... ♡

-Gracias Desorden... es mejor :D que me digas que te da 'pereza'!

-Mary-Laure, I remember you mentioning Benji's obsession over mail carriers before! Isn't that odd? All other 'strangers' George runs from, but mail carriers he jumps the screen doors for :) The shop is called Bunka DO, and it's located on 1st street. Very close to the Japanese American heritage museum. Prices are very reasonable.

-Kitty!!! I almost did a back-flip.. thank you so much! I'm off to email you right now. ♡

-It's true dear Sam... I love the way he wrote. You remind me that I need to find more of his work!

-Juana, Sputnik sounds adorable :) I don't think George pays attention to his own reflection? I'm gonna have to test him on that now...

-I'm off to see your Happiness Gallery now, thank you Leigh! Also, thank you girls for you wonderful comments... glad to hear so many of us are in on the tap dancing daydream! ♡
