Shadows of the Week

Sunday, July 4, 2010

Submissions: (1)Little figurine found at the Collector's Street Faire I attended a few months ago. Feel like such a cat lady when I buy cat things, but do it anyway! (2) Pink flowers from my garden. Planted them a year ago but they only fully bloomed this season. Don't remember the species? (3) The People of Paper by Salvador Plascencia, the newest pick for the Slow Readers Book Club. Just started, but so far am very much enjoying it. Review post is due by August 15th... (in case you haven't already) you should *JOIN*! (4) Kitty Key Covers from FredFlare. It's like reaching for a toy whenever I open my doors. (5) Fearless pigeon at the downtown library fountain. (6+7) Taken at a recent visit to our local Art-o-Mat at the Geffen Contemporary. $5 token and my friend Scott is now the proud owner of this tiny painting by artist Paula Griffin. (8) Benson's Licorice Allsorts. So good, so bad. (9) Taken at a cellphone selling place. Maybe I don't get out enough, but I swear I thought those clear chairs were awesome... I'm thinking Wonder Woman's invisible plane.

Thank you again to the amazing Tracey and her wonderful gallery...
also wishing YOU a great new week and a Happy 4th of July!

I love the little cat in the grass-so joyful! The people of paper is a great name for a book. I have a craft book from the seventies called Paper People.
That little painting is beautiful too!

Cat ladies are the best people to buy for. One of my fave workmates is a cat lady without a cat so you're very lucky :)

Thank you for your comment on my choose your own adventure post. It's really nice knowing that other people think about this stuff too. I hesitate to call it a quarter life crises but perhaps it is?
