Crisantemos

My submission to the Shadow Gallery, a great project run by the talented Tracy of Hey Harriet. Open to anyone who'd like to participate, the simple requisites can be read *HERE*.

Sources: Chrysanthemums from my backyard, they just started growing out of nowhere in a small empty flower bed we had. I'm guessing the people who lived there before us had removed them for some reason but they managed to survive. Chrysanthemums were my Grandmother's favorite flower.

Thank you so much Tracy always such fun!

Also, I'm sorry for being gone these last couple of days but I have a very valid excuse... it was my Birthday weekend (35!... *gasp*) and though generally don't enjoy them I had a pretty good and busy one. Think I was partially inspired by my fellow bloggers who shared the week with me, D of Dream Sequins who threw an amazing Tea Party and the always lovely Hanako of Through the Looking Glass who escaped to Palm Springs! Hope you girls had a gorgeous one also... will be catching up on all my reading soon and will return on Monday with a vintage giveaway!! *Besos*

Lovely Chrysanthemum's Gabbi! I love the smell of these-not too obvious like some flowers but fressh and green smelling.
And happy birthday! Glad you had a good one!

Bonne Anniversaire dear Gabbi!! That's so lovely to hear you had a wonderful birthday weekend!! What did George get you - apart from lots of furry purry kisses I mean!

These Chrysanthemums are so pretty - especially the way you've shot them - the texture of the petals and the light and dark is wonderful!

Have a gorgeous week and many happy returns again! Sam. XOXOX

Happy belated birthday, Gabbi!! Glad you had a good one :)

Beautiful Chrysanthemums photos. I'm pretty sure they were my grandmother's favourite flower too. Because of that, my cousin's name has the word Krisanti in it (meaning Chrysanthemums in Indonesian), and I always thought it was a gorgeous name.

Happy happy birthday, Gabbi! Hooray hooray!

And the chrysanthemums are just so lovely and fresh. I love how all that beauty came from an empty flowerbed. So inspiring.

Chrysanthemums always make me think of Anne of Green Gables, "...t-h-E-m-u-m" Hehe!

Both shots would make great album covers Gabbi - I may have to borrow one for a possible Spring Mix next year, if that's ok..

Happy belated Birthday, Gabbi! I hope the year ahead has wonderful things in store for you :)

Lovely chrysanthemum photos. What a surprise that they sprang up without you knowing they were there. They've always been one of my favorites, too.
