Cowgirl Pretty

Monday, April 20, 2009

Dallas by Benefit is one of my favorite cowgirl inspired beauty products. It comes in a small box with a print of a cowgirl on its top (who seems to be riding off into the sunset) and inside is a small squared brush with a faux wooden handle. I’ve used it for years, lasts forever and isn't too expensive. Gives a very natural sun kissed look and doesn’t irritate my skin, I have really sensitive skin. Also, has no shimmer to it. I hate blushes with shimmer.

Isn't it a nice package? Whenever I open the box I feel like I’m opening a toy.

Camera Obscura looking country western cute with ‘Tears for Affairs’:

Visit *Here* for more Pin-up's and the top photo (with the yellow background) is courtesy of my good friend Billie, though I'm not certain who the artist is? Thank you Billie!xx

I'm the same as you, I like blushes with no shimmer and that make skin look as natural as possible!
Such lovely photos too..
I can't remember if I said this in my last comment but I really like the new backround you put on the blog! ;)
til soon

I love these cowgirl photos. I have cowgirl stuff all over my apartment like this because they were just so darn sexy! I have never tried the products but will look into it.

Hi Gabbi,
cute pictures. If all goes well, I will be visiting Dallas this summer. my B is from Texas and I am excited to have a western experience. Thanks for the tip on the blush, I love the brush it comes with. I love makeup but I am not good at application, must take lessons!

~ Thank you much love, glad you liked it. I love old photos and pin-up’s.xo

~ That’s exactly why I don’t like the shimmers too dear Francesca! Thank you for the kind comment on the background. I thought it was better for the spring? *bises*

~ Thank you Keith, I really enjoyed your Martin & Lewis post yesterday. Made me think of my old ‘boyfriend’… :)

~ Thank you dear CC… I love vintage cowgirl things. Hope you’re having a lovely week. Your blog is amazing. xoxo

~ So true dear Dooder, vintage cowgirl is sexy. Hope you like the blush as much as I do!! *besos*

~ Completely agree! Thank you dear Miriam.xo

~ How fun dear Laura, I’ve never been to Dallas (or any part of Texas really) looking forward to reading about your trip on your blog maybe? I’m completely with you the whole application thing. I rely on my sister for tips in that department, she has a knack for it I think. Your photos of Norm are adorable… Thank you!

~ Thank you Diana! Still at work thinking of books I need to fan. :)

Cuuuute! So far I haven't found a place in Alaska that sells Benefit. Boo. I suppose I could buy online, but I like to test things out in the department store, you know?
I think being a cowgirl would be pretty dang awesome, except for the whole poverty thing. Maybe if I OWNED the ranch... except for I'm a vegetarian, so I'm sure what I'd do with the cows. Open a petting zoo?

Correction: I'm NOT sure what I'd do with the cows. Besides not eat them...

~ Thank you Pink, I love the Jewelry on our blog!

~ That’s dandelion! It was my favorite before Dallas. I think I’m too brown for it though… :) Tilda is gorgeous. I’m sort of bad with faces so I’m always second guessing myself. Thank you!

~ I think a ranch is a perfect place for a vegetarian Andrea... Imagine caring for and not eating animals, very rewarding. Cows have beautiful eyes, you could just stare soulfully into them all day :) Thank you for your lovely comment! xo

These cowgirls are classics - all of them! There's something lovely about a cowgirl! I've also used the same makeup for over a decade now - I fully understand you wanting to stick to something you know and works for you!
