Recently I visited the Griffith Park Light Festival, a great thing to do around the Holidays in Los Angeles...

The Department of Water and Power sets up free light displays up along the hills of Crystal Springs Drive in Griffith Park. It lasts from November 25th through the 30th of December.

The few photographs that I took of the light displays didn't do them justice, but these tunnels had me completely mesmerized. I loved the silhouettes’ of people on their bikes and with their dogs:

It gets a little chilly up in the hills in the evening so you have to be sure to bundle up and also remember to bring your hot chocolate and maybe a pastry :) These little puppies were at the bakery we visited before our trek:

This year the light festival has gone ‘green’, converting all their lights to LED bulbs and it’s now a ‘vehicle free’ event. You can go *here* to read more about the Festival and to see a guide of the displays.

The lights look so great, it kind of reminded me of the festival"Kobe Luminarie" in Kobe, Japan.

~Hello dear Michiko :)

Yeah, the Griffith Park Light Festival is just like the 'Kobe Luminarie' only not as awesome! :) Wow! I'd never heard of it before but the photos on the link are spectacular! Thank you for sending me that.

I have a small pink tree on my desk at work, but now I really want a big pink tree for the house. And I want it full of candy too...hehe

Hope you're having a lovely week.xox

Gabbi, my dear, i think a pink tree is absolutely de rigueur in times of crisis...
get on with it...with loads of candies (candies are still cheap right ?)

ps: glad you like der Himmel über Berlin
:-)

~Now you've inspired me to make my Christmas tree as pink as possible :) But the candies might not work, I'll end up eating all the decorations before Christmas and the tree will be bare...hehe

Thank you dear Spain, looking forward to the rest of your advent calendar!
